This is an exciting opportunity to develop and enhance the Health and Safety culture of their business. The successful candidate will work alongside and support the Health, Safety & Environmental Manager, ensuring safe practices on all sites controlled by my client in liaison with the relevant department Managers. The role will also cover a variety of areas within the business and part of the role will also involve supporting the facilities team ensuring environmental compliance, assisting with contractor management, and general administration. The role:Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programmes to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards Conduct regular inspections and audits of the workplace to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions as needed Manage the procurement, issue and record keeping Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop preventive measures to reduce recurrence.
