Are you resilient, adaptable and passionate about supporting young people who need a fresh start in education? We are recruiting Teaching Assistants for an established KS2 Alternative Provision but within a primary setting.
The Role
You will work closely with teaching staff to provide:
• One‑to‑one and small‑group support
• Assistance with emotional regulation and behaviour de‑escalation
• Encouragement and structure to help pupils improve engagement
• Guidance to help pupils rebuild confidence and develop positive learning habits
• Support with routines, boundaries and consistent expectations
The setting supports pupils who may be experiencing significant challenges, including those previously excluded, managing anxiety, or displaying heightened emotions. The aim is to help students stabilise, make academic progress and reintegrate into an appropriate educational pathway.
This role will suit someone who:
• Has experience with challenging behaviour, SEMH or exclusion‑experienced pupils
• Remains calm, patient and solution‑focused under pressure
• Can build trust and positive relationships with young people
• Is resilient, consistent and able to offer clear boundaries
• Uses de‑escalation techniques effectively
• Has a genuine commitment to helping young people succeed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
