Wehave an exciting opportunity to join our Maintenance team at The Fife ArmsHotel, Braemar, as a Maintenance Assistant working closely with our PropertyManager and team.
As a Maintenance Assistant you will be responsible forensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard. Areasinclude guest bedrooms, bathrooms, associated areas, as well as staffaccommodation.
As a MaintenanceAssistant, you will be responsible for:
* Carrying out maintenance on all hotel fixturesand fittings to ensure that they are in safe condition and action is taken whenany unsafe situations arise.
* Carrying out maintenance tasks includingjoinery, plumbing, electrics, painting and decorating according to the dailytask list.
* Carrying out maintenance of the staffaccommodation internally and externally according to the daily task list.
* Ensuring compliance with Environment, Health,Safety, Security and Fire & Bomb Policies and Procedures.
* Performing daily maintenance, fire safety andsecurity checks around the hotel.
* Supporting the Property Manager by supervisingany external contractors on site, as required.
* Ensuring that good relationships are built andmaintained with internal and external customers.
* Supporting the implementation, and directionof all emergency programmes.
* Supporting the implementation and managementof energy conservation programmes for the property to minimize expenses and reduce environmental impact.
Our successful Maintenance Assistant willhave:
* Proven experience in property maintenance or related field, preferably in a similar luxury hospitality environment.
* Technical knowledge and skill in painting and decorating, joinery, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs.
* Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
* Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* A thorough understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH.
* A willingness to work to the high standards that are demanded from a luxury establishment.
