CIS Security is looking for a Security Officer to join our busy and dynamic educational campus in South East London. The role requires a professional presence to ensure safety, reassurance, and excellent customer service for staff, students, and visitors.
Job Details
* Position: Female Security Officer
* Location: Lewisham/Southwark
* Pay Rate: £13.94 per hour
* Hours: 45 hours per week
* Shifts: Monday – Friday – Term Time Only
Responsibilities
* Act as an ambassador for CIS Security, representing our values while delivering high‑quality guarding and outstanding service.
* Conduct opening & closing procedures, patrolling, reception duties, access control and answer incoming telephone calls.
* Perform emergency procedures and support the site through refurbishment and business‑as‑usual.
* Maintain working knowledge of the locations, security and safety for assigned areas.
Requirements
* SIA Licence required.
* Security and customer service experience required.
* Female applicant required for the role.
* Flexible to work days, nights, weekends and shift changes due to operational needs.
* Good command of the English language and strong written & verbal communication.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, pro‑active and think on your feet.
* Physically fit to complete patrols and stand/walk throughout the shift.
* First Aid qualification and CCTV SIA Licence are a bonus.
* Minimum five years of checkable work history.

* Deliver high‑quality guarding and customer service to clients and service users.
* Remain calm under pressure, confident in resolving confrontational situations amicably.
* Confident in writing incident and shift reports.
* Professional appearance, friendly and courteous demeanour, using appropriate body language.
* Capable of undertaking 100% of all specific duties and providing necessary documentation.
