Support workers for respite support in Dailly, South Ayrshire. To help cover some Fri, sat, sun and Mondays when parents looking for a break. Will know in advance
Hrs to be discussed at interview
Rate of pay - £13 to £14 per hr, depending on experience

Genuinely caring reliable support workers required to support a gentleman in his own home, to give his parents some much needed respite.
The respite Shifts:
The respite shifts will contain
Early shifts
Back shift
Overnight support
The gentleman needs 24hr support if his parents are on holiday, this will be provided by his support workers, with potentially additional support from family.
There is no personal care requirements as this is done via his care support team already in place, but in an emergency you may have to assist.
You will be required to ensure his wellbeing needs are being met, talk with him. He loves good fun banter, chats about everyday stuff. He has a wicked sense of humour and enjoys the interaction.
His passions before his health deteriorated were football, particularly Celtic, loves good comedy. Watching football on the TV, listening to music
Skills:
Previous experience working in the care sector will be a distinct advantage.
You will be required to Peg feed, Peg Flush and give meds through the peg. – Training can be given if you do not have this experience.
You will be required to complete daily logs
Liaise with family / professionals where required
Adhere to confidentiality.
Learn and adhere to daily routines
Learn from his family and his support team
Ask questions if you don't know or are unsure of something.
****** Must be a driver with own transport due to location
Please note that there is a 6 month probationary period attached to this post
Successful applicants will have to undergo a PVG disclosure and provide 2 up to date reference contacts
