Overview
SSN Ward 308 / Medical Stepdown – Senior Staff Nurse opportunity at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, working as part of the urgent and unscheduled care pathway. The post involves clinical leadership and delivering high quality nursing care to acutely unwell patients in a critical care environment.
Responsibilities
* Facilitate and provide clinical leadership within Ward 308 and contribute to the ongoing development of services.
* Lead and participate in service improvement projects, audits, and adherence to the NMC Code and NHS Grampian’s Plan for the Future.
* Support the Senior Charge Nurse (SCN) in delivering safe, person-centred care and leading the nursing team.
* Demonstrate flexibility to respond to service needs and contribute to a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications and Experience
* Substantial experience at band 5/6 level within an acute hospital setting.
* Management experience and evidence of continuing professional development.
* Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills; ability to lead and develop others.
* A genuine interest in caring for patients with complex medical conditions and ability to support audit and service improvement activities.
