Principal Control & Instrumentation Engineer

Key Responsibilities
* Develop functional design for Vehicle Control solutions for SSNA.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to oversee delivery of vehicle control solutions and strategies.
* Support assurance activities with the Office of the Chief Engineer.
* Work with engineering managers to deliver vehicle control systems using agile methods.
* Ensure timely delivery of engineering plans and provide guidance on engineering methods.
* Develop and mentor team members, fostering technical growth.
* Engage with legacy stakeholders to develop solutions based on existing designs.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Experience in designing large-scale C&I systems meeting various standards.
* Knowledge of managing non-functional requirements (EMC, shock, etc.) and industrial compliance.
* Proficiency in authoring/reviewing design documents (I/O schedules, specifications, interface control documents).
* Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Physics, Maths, or Science.
Desirable Skills
* Understanding of control system architecture and communication protocols (RS-485, PROFIBUS).
* Experience with IEC 61508 or similar functional safety standards.
* Experience with maneuvering systems from various industries.
