Job Description:
Our client is looking to welcome an ambitious individual, regardless of background, to join their growing Manufacturing & Warehouse team in Peterlee as a Supply Chain Apprenticeship. The goal is to develop into a Warehouse Team Leader/Supervisor role throughout your career with them. They seek someone eager to learn, develop, and passionate about Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
Responsibilities include:
1. Assist in loading/unloading vehicles, both goods in and out
2. Ensure all paperwork/documentation related to goods in/out are correctly filled and filed
3. Store goods correctly and safely in designated locations
4. Perform weekly stock checks and report shortages
5. Follow procedures for goods returned and process stock correctly
6. Prepare, pick, and pack goods for delivery with all required documentation
7. Conduct daily health and safety checks, document findings, and report hazards
8. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
9. Support manufacturing processes as needed
10. Assist delivery drivers with runs when necessary
11. Comply with company policies, including ISO standards, and suggest improvements
12. Adhere to all health and safety regulations
13. Perform any other tasks as assigned by management
Requirements:
* Previous warehouse experience is not essential
* Ability to pass pre-employment tests, including drug and alcohol screening
* Flexibility to work during busy periods
* Organized working approach and cleanliness
* Teamwork skills
Additional Information:
Hours of work: 8am – 5pm
Pay rate: National Apprenticeship Wage – £6.40/hour
