With up to 80 covers at dinner and 40 at lunch, the kitchen is well‑positioned for further growth as the lunch trade develops.
This is a hands‑on leadership role reporting directly to a supportive General Manager (a former Head Chef), working with owners who bring extensive hospitality expertise and a forward‑looking approach to future projects.
You will join an established brigade of local staff, where strong leadership, high standards, and a collaborative spirit are essential.

Package
Salary: £17.50 per hour (OTE £50,000, plus approx. £3,000 TRONC)
Accommodation: Live‑in available; four rooms with shared kitchen, lounge and bathroom, provided free of charge

The Role
* Lead and inspire an 18‑person kitchen team across a busy, quality‑focused service.
* Maintain consistency, GP targets (low 70s), and high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
* Deliver seasonal menus, daily specials, and accessible à la carte dishes.
* Support the development of new lunch offerings and contribute to year‑round events.
* Ensure smooth service across key stations, including starters, desserts, larder, frier, pizza, and KP support.
* Uphold excellent food safety standards, including Level 3 food safety as a minimum requirement.
About You
* Ambitious, energetic and capable of holding your own in a busy kitchen.
* Minimum 2 years’ experience and confident managing all aspects of service and prep.
* Community‑minded, personable, and able to integrate with a largely local team.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to paperwork, compliance and cleanliness.
* Thrives in a busy environment with seasonal fluctuations and a supportive, collaborative culture.
