Are you a Lead Design Engineer from an aviation or automotive background or similar looking to join a rapidly growing company, where you will be a technical expert in a niche sector of the aviation industry, offering further progression to a team leader within 2 years?
In this role you will be responsible for the reverse engineering of Merlin and Griffon engines used in Spitfires and Hurricanes for the RAF. You will use their bespoke CAD system NX for stripping surveys to examine what components need to be manufactured as well as stress testing and calculations on steel work.
This company has been operating for over 4 decades and has expanded rapidly, growing its design team from 2 to 16 in 2 years, and currently employs 50 staff. It is nationally renowned for its high-quality work within this niche sector of the aviation industry and showcases its excellence at the Battle of Britain memorial each year.
The Role
* Reverse Engineering of Merlin and Griffon Engines
* Perform stripping surveys to assess components for design and manufacture
* Stress testing and calculations on steel work
* Mon-Fri, 8-5, 40 hrs per week with unlimited optional overtime
