VolkerFitzpatrick offers a range and depth of civil engineering, infrastructure and building services, delivering vital projects across private and public sectors. The company builds, renews and maintains highways, airports, railway infrastructure, and commercial, industrial, and educational buildings. This opportunity is for a Sub Agent with a background in civil engineering/rail to work on the Southern Renewals Enterprise as part of the Structures team, primarily for projects in the Wessex route.
You will manage the delivery of schemes within the Structures portfolio, including New & Replacement Bridges, Access for All, Structural Refurbishments, Retaining Structures and more. The project will total 5+5 years of multiple individual schemes across Network Rail’s Southern Route.
Responsibilities
* Manage the delivery of schemes within the Structures portfolio (e.g., New & Replacement Bridges, Access for All, Structural Refurbishments, Retaining Structures).
* Coordinate projects across multiple schemes within the Southern Route timeframe (5+5 years).
* Develop and oversee Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and safe systems of work.
Qualifications
* Technical qualification (e.g., Degree in civil engineering or HND).
* Proven technical and organisational skills.
* Knowledge of CDM Regulations and their implementation.
* Ability to produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and safe systems of work.
* Knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues.
* Experience in civil engineering/structures/rail.
* PTS.
