We are investing in new production machinery and need hands-on Technician apprentices to help us get the full potential from the new investment. The work is interesting and varied, including initial fault finding and repairs to equipment. You will be “earning and learning” while gaining your qualifications and completing your apprenticeship. Duties will include: Assisting and working under the guidance of Manufacturing Technicians, Maintenance fitters / electricians and machinery operators in the production of component parts and finished assemblies Use of manufacturing drawings / CNC programs Measurement of component parts / assemblies Carrying out any other appropriate duties, as necessary The training you will be getting This 4 year programme will include: Engineering Basic Skills training - off the job full time at Make UK in Aston, Birmingham NVQ Level 3 in Engineering A Technical Certificate (BTEC Diploma Level 3 in Engineering) In house training in line with your requirements What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship Once you complete your apprenticeship, you will become a Production Technician. On completion of your Level 3 apprenticeship, you would move on to study an HNC qualification, supported by the company.
