About the Role
To undertake daily/weekly/monthly tasks in order for the Quality Department to meet KPI requirements for cost, quality, service and behaviours through agreed ways of working.
Key Accountabilities
1. Food safety and quality culture advocate, led by example and promotion of a culture whereby food safety, authenticity, legality, and quality are everyone’s responsibility
2. Comply with Statutory & Legal requirements
3. Comply with Safety, Health & Environment requirements
4. Comply with any appropriate production or food safety regulations as defined by policy or legislation eg HACCP
5. Undertake activities to ensure the department meets all of it’s KPI Targets. These will include
6. Routine analysis
7. eg OG/ABV, WAL, Colour pH, N2, TPP, VDK, Nibem, BU, Iso/Tetra, Glycol, Haze/HFT, SO2, Water checks
8. Routine Micro
9. eg Drips, Kegs, Process samples
10. Instrument calibration
11. eg Alcolyser, Rapitec, Spectrophotometer, DMA, DO2/CO2/N2 meters
12. Interpretation of results/problem solving
13. Participate in audits
14. eg Pack Quality, Process Audit Checks, HACCP audits
15. Housekeeping
16. eg 5S, goods intake, parcel despatch
17. Other duties as appropriate
18. Undertake training for new skills & tasks as required
19. Attend Meetings & Briefings as necessary
20. Comply with all documentation and transaction requirements
21. Ensure that all internal & external customer requirements are met
22. Remain up to date with emerging issues, legislation, and good practice
About you
23. HNC or equivalent in Science subject
24. Brewing Foundation an advantage
25. Experience in a brewery or food-manufacturing lab
26. Able to carry out scientific analysis of samples
27. All operational training to be able to do the role is provided
