Job Summary
The Elective Orthopaedic Centre (EOC) is an innovative, collaborative service bringing together four acute Trusts to deliver high-quality orthopaedic care for patients across north west London. As Service Manaer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of patient services within the EOC.
Working closely with the General Manager, clinical leaders, theatre teams and administrative colleagues, you will oversee operational processes, manage waiting lists and performance targets, and support safe, effective pathways for over 4,000 patients a year.

Main duties of the job
Operational Management
Deliver high-quality and efficient services across the EOC, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Manage personal and team workloads, prioritising tasks to meet corporate and service deadlines.
Support theatre and ward teams to maximise capacity and optimise theatre utilisation.
Lead and monitor administrative functions to ensure robust, safe and compliant processes.
Performance & Waiting List Management
Oversee joint EOC waiting lists, ensuring timely validation and proactive management of RTT pathways.
Support partner Trusts with waiting list coordination and patient selection for EOC pathways.
Track, analyse and report on key performance indicators including RTT, theatre utilisation and activity data.
Service Improvement & Change Management
Contribute to and lead service development projects and improvement initiatives.
Identify challenges and work collaboratively to design and implement solutions.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement aligned with the Trust's HEART values.
Staff Leadership & Management
Line manage administrative teams, including recruitment, supervision, objective setting and performance management.
Ensure appropriate staffing levels, skills mix and training compliance across administrative services.
