Commercial Litigation Solicitor (2+ PQE)
Location: Liverpool (Hybrid – 4 days office / 1 day remote)
Salary: £48,000 – £56,000 DOE
Full Time | Permanent
Simpson Judge Legal are working with a well-established and highly regarded commercial law firm in Liverpool, who are looking to appoint a Commercial Litigation Solicitor (2+ PQE) to join their growing Dispute Resolution team.

The Role
You will join a busy and experienced disputes team, working closely with senior lawyers while also managing your own caseload.
The role offers exposure to a wide range of high-value and business-critical disputes, acting for a diverse client base including SMEs, corporates, directors, shareholders, landlords and investors.
You will be involved in:
1. Managing a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters from instruction through to resolution/trial
2. Drafting pre-action correspondence, pleadings and court documents
3. Advising clients on strategy, risk, costs and commercial outcomes
4. Handling disclosure, witness statements and expert evidence
5. Attending hearings, mediations and settlement meetings
6. Supporting on complex, high-value disputes alongside partners
7. Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering commercially focused advice
8. Supporting business development and networking activity
The caseload is broad and will include:
9. Contractual disputes
10. Debt recovery
11. Shareholder and director disputes
12. Professional negligence
13. Property litigation (including landlord & tenant disputes)
14. Injunctions
15. Insolvency-related disputes
16. Contentious probate
The firm is looking for a driven and commercially minded solicitor who is keen to take the next step in their career.
17. Qualified Solicitor with 2+ years PQE in Commercial Litigation/Dispute Resolution
18. Strong working knowledge of CPR and litigation procedures
19. Experience managing files with appropriate supervision
20. Confident drafting and advising on complex matters
21. Excellent communication and client-facing skills
22. Commercially aware with a proactive approach
23. Strong organisation and ability to manage competing deadlines
