Overview
Burnside High School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Head of Careers to join our learning support faculty. This is a full-time, permanent position leading and developing the school’s careers programme and supporting students to make informed decisions about their future pathways. Location: 151 Greers Road, Burnside, Christchurch.
Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of a comprehensive careers education programme across the school, including exploration of tertiary, training, and employment pathways for students.
* Build strong relationships with students, staff, whānau, and external providers, and coordinate initiatives that support students in planning for further education, training, and employment.
* Collaborate with colleagues to support students in achieving their aspirations and contribute positively to the wider Faculty and the life of the school.
* Promote a supportive, high-performing school environment with a strong focus on student wellbeing, career pathways, and future success.
* Ensure equitable access to career and pathway opportunities for all students.
