Applicants are invited to provide high‑quality secretarial and administrative support to the Management Team. The role involves communicating and liaising with a wide range of staff groups across the Health Board and with external organisations, handling sensitive or contentious information.
Candidates must be flexible, exhibit a pleasant, positive approach, and possess good organisational skills. A strong educational foundation and adaptability are required.
Essential administration and secretarial experience is required. The post is based at Denbigh Infirmary Community Hospital, with duties also at Royal Alexandra Hospital and Ruthin Community Hospital. Speaking Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome.
Main duties of the job
* Act as the first point of contact for the management team via telephone, e‑mail, correspondence and visitors, making judgements to act or advise on a wide range of matters, resolving or referring them as appropriate.
* Schedule and arrange meetings, compile agendas, take and transcribe meeting minutes, and may attend HR meetings such as investigations and formal disciplinary hearings, producing formal notes within deadlines while maintaining strict confidentiality and tact.

Qualifications
* NVQ 3 Qualification or equivalent experience
* ECDL qualification or equivalent experience
Desirable qualifications
* RSA/OCR Level 3 or equivalent in Word Processing
* Advanced ECDL Certificate
Experience and Knowledge
Essential criteria
* Experience providing a comprehensive secretarial service
* Experience setting up and using filing/IT systems
* Familiarity with office procedures and deadlines
Desirable criteria
* Previous experience as a personal secretary
* Previous experience within the NHS
Skills
Essential criteria
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work unsupervised and make decisions
* Good command of the English language, written and verbal
