Supply Chain Specialist (Supply Chain Management)

An exciting new opportunity has arisen within BDUK Supply Chain's Fixed Wing Operations team, to support the UK E-7 Program. This position will act as a key focal and representative for BDUK Supply chain in the initial set up of the E-7 activities at Lossiemouth.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and support operational set up from a Supply Chain Warehousing and BDUK logistics perspective.
2. Conduct Risk, Issue and Opportunity management.
3. Support demand planning in line with maintenance activities.
4. Provide strategic and transactional support to the purchase of goods and services.
5. Be the focal point for all requirements – liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure full support to the end Customer.
6. Support the development and maintenance of relationship, both internal and external, within a demanding multi-stakeholder environment.
7. Manage stock shortages and spares demands with stakeholders, suggesting risk mitigation strategies and working with Boeing stakeholders to avoid operational impacts.
8. Manage relevant systems to ensure order status and stock levels are aligned
9. Clear and manage material discrepancies and quarantine issues raised by stakeholders.
10. Provide resolution of spares inabilities through to satisfaction, providing forecast availability dates to the customer and other stakeholders.
11. Aggregate and review required reports, that would be used as performance reports provided to internal and external stakeholders.
12. Analyses supplier and/ or customer data regarding products or services to include repair capabilities, capacity and performs assessment of configuration change impact to supply support system.
13. Identifies and resolves customer supply chain management issues and discrepancies.
14. Identifies Supply Chain alternatives to resolve emergent issues.
15. Support Program reporting on KPI performance, Order execution and financial performance.
Basic Required/ Qualifications:
16. Active UK driving license is essential
17. Ability to acquire UK SC security clearance
18. English fluency
Preferred Education/ Experience:
19. Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Operations, Asset Management, Warehousing and Logistics, and associated best practices
20. Strong attention to detail
21. Knowledge of MRO and ERP based systems
22. Experience working with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
23. Strong communication, organisational and collaboration skills across internal and external teams
24. An understanding of Project Management skills and techniques
25. Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities
26. Must be able to work effectively within a team environment as well as alone
