<div><h3>Overview</h3><p>An opportunity has arisen for an experienced physiotherapist to join our Neurosciences and Cancer Care Team supporting inpatients recovering from a variety of neurological conditions. This role is suitable for individuals who have completed their core rotations (Band 5 Physiotherapist rotation programme) or already have experience at Band 6 and wish to develop specialist skills within Neurosciences.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Work on inpatient wards with our experienced and dedicated team of registered and unregistered therapists supporting patients during recovery from acute illness.</li><li>Be an active part of the wider multi‑disciplinary team and have the opportunity to develop new skills with access to training and professional development.</li><li>Undertake a variety of non‑clinical and clinical tasks to support the delivery of physiotherapy services to our Neurosciences patients.</li><li>Assess, prioritise, and manage your own caseload of hyper‑acute and acute stroke patients and patients with other neurological conditions, determine clinical diagnosis and treatment indicated, and maintain records as a legally autonomous practitioner. Patient presentation may be complex/highly complex.</li><li>Be responsible for training, supervising, and monitoring other physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistant practitioners, assistants, and, with support, performance‑manage students.</li><li>Provide clinical leadership within the speciality, including educational, professional, and managerial guidance, and have an active role in the planning, development, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of the physiotherapy service provided to patients within and beyond Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.</li></ul><p>The post holder will be required to participate in the extended day/7‑day rotas in line with service needs.</p><h3>Qualifications and Experience</h3><p>Experienced physiotherapist, preferred Band 5 completed core rotations or Band 6 with specialist skill in Neurosciences. Proven ability to assess and manage complex neurological patients and to lead junior staff and trainees.
