We’re on the lookout for a *creative, fun, and supportive Deputy Manager* to join our vibrant nursery community. Rated *Ofsted OUTSTANDING*, our setting is full of warmth, energy, and a genuine passion for early years care.* A *permanent Deputy Manager* role for someone ready to lead with heart and enthusiasm. We provide high quality care for children from age 3 months to 5 years. Abacus has been awarded an Outstanding rating in all inspections.Abacus offers an idyllic setting with free flow gardens as well as a woodland forest school.Our ethos is to provide a safe, friendly, healthy and caring environment. We are a team of 35 and care for around 60 children per day. We are proud of our highly experienced team and offer a supportive and nurturing place of work.A rare opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join the management team and lead our outstanding team and outstanding nursery. The right candidate will work closely with the nursery owners and manager to inspire our team and continuously develop our children and setting.We are looking for an experienced leader who is energetic, positive and passionate. Someone who is highly motivated, instils trust and is constantly striving to build on best practice and standards.The right candidate will ideally hold a level 3 recognised childcare qualification. The following qualifications and skills are also anticipated.· Designated Safeguarding Lead (Ideal)· Safer Recruitment training (Ideal)· Paediatric First Aid (Essential)· Food and Hygiene Level 2 (Essential)· Relevant SEN qualification (Ideal)· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (Essential)· Experience of working with external agencies (Essential)· Relevant forest school or outdoor learning qualification (Ideal)Full training will be provided for the successful candidate.*Key purpose of role*To provide high quality childcare for children from 3 months to 5 years on a daily basis, ensuring the safety and care of the children at all times. Adhering to all nursery policies and procedures. Compliance with Childcare Act 2006, Health & Safety legislation, Early Years (EYFS), DCSF and OFSTED.Job Types: Part-time, PermanentPay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Company pension* Employee discount* On-site parkingWork Location: In person
