Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Recycling Operative to join Cytiva in Ilfracombe. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term temporary role with a well-established company operating within the Life Sciences sector.
This role is ideal for someone reliable, proactive, and comfortable working in a hands-on team environment.
Key Duties:
* Carry out daily recycling duties within the onsite recycling centre.
* Segregate rejected products, packaging, WEEE, metals, and other recyclable materials.
* Prepare recycled products for transportation, including packaging and palletising.
* Support safe and efficient recycling processes onsite.
* Operate machinery used for cutting or shredding plastic materials following training.
* Follow all environmental, health and safety procedures.
* Support improvements to waste and recycling processes.
* Assist the maintenance and facilities team with additional duties when required.
Requirements:
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
* Good organisational and time management skills.
* Interest in recycling, sustainability, or environmental practices beneficial.
* Comfortable working in a hands-on environment and operating machinery safely.
* Proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
