Job Summary
As a Support Worker, you will provide essential care and assistance to individuals living in one of our supported living accommodations. Your role will involve supporting individuals with daily activities and ensuring their well-being.
Duties
- Deliver compassionate care to residents in supported living accommodation
- Assist individuals with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Help manage challenging behaviours and provide behaviour management support
- Support individuals with mobility and transportation needs, including driving when required
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding if necessary
Qualifications
- Care experience
- Supported living or nursing home experience
- Patient care skills
- Alzheimer's, or dementia care experience
- Ability to assist with meal preparation
- First aid certification
- Valid driver's license for transportation needs
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Medication administration knowledge
- Strong behavior management skills
