Production Operative
Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join our client, a specialist manufacturer of bespoke double‑glazed units. The company produce custom glass units, cutting and shaping glass for trade counters and wholesalers.
This is a hands‑on, physical role within a busy manufacturing environment, offering a temp‑to‑perm opportunity for the right candidate once a successful trial period has been completed – a minimum 12-week period.
Your Role
As a Production Operative, your duties will include:
1. Handling glass and working with bespoke double‑glazed units
2. Operating machinery to sand and finish glass edges
3. Carrying out repetitive production tasks to meet targets
4. Tapping sealed units before dispatch to ensure quality
5. Stacking finished products onto trolleys
6. Performing heavy manual handling duties
7. Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
Requirements

9. Comfortable carrying out heavy, physical work
10. Previous production or manufacturing experience desirable
11. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, repetitive role
12. Reliable and able to work as part of a team
Pay & Shifts
13. £12.71 per hour
14. 39 hours per week
Working Hours:
15. Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 15:45 (paid 30‑minute and 15‑minute breaks)
16. Friday: 07:00 – 13:00
Overtime Rates:
17. After 39 hours overtime is paid at time and half £19.07 per hour
18. After 45 hours rate increases to double time of £25.42 per hour
