SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Teaching Personnel are working with primary schools in North Solihull. We are recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated TAs with SEN experience to provide 1-1 support to children in resource base hubs. Pay rates are competitive, and roles vary from day-to-day cover to long-term/full-time support.

Qualifications:
GCSE in English, Maths, and Science
Level 2 Supporting Learning and Teaching qualification
Skills:
Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the classroom
Experience supporting children with autism
Experience dealing with challenging behaviour
Job Duties:
Provide 1-1 support to children with SEN in the classroom
Assist in the delivery of individual education plans for SEN students
Support children with autism in their educational and social development
Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour effectively
Collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure the best support for students
Required Qualifications:
GCSE in English, Maths, and Science
Level 2 Supporting Learning and Teaching qualification
Education:
A minimum of GCSE qualifications in English, Maths, and Science is required. A Level 2 Supporting Learning and Teaching qualification is essential.
Experience:
Prior experience supporting children with SEN in an educational setting is necessary. Experience working with children with autism and managing challenging behaviour is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
Understanding of Special Educational Needs and how to support students effectively
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
Preferred Qualifications:
Level 3 Supporting Learning and Teaching qualification
Additional training in SEN support or related areas
Working Conditions:
This is a temporary, full-time role based in West Midlands, Birmingham. The role involves working closely with children with SEN in the classroom and resource base hubs. The working hours are typically in line with the school timetable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
