About the role:
As part of our continued growth and commitment to pioneering technologies, we are seeking a Thermal Systems Engineer to join our dynamic Operator Environment team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge thermal management solutions for JCB products, collaborating with global teams to deliver robust, efficient systems that meet the highest standards.
What does this role involve day to day?
* Test, develop, and validate thermal systems for JCB vehicles.
* Coordinate with design teams to implement improvements and innovative solutions.
* Apply advanced simulation tools (1D, CFD) such as Altair software and Amesim to model and optimise system performance.
* Support environmental testing and analyse results to ensure compliance and reliability.
* Contribute to the development of new technologies and standards for thermal systems across the business.
This will be suited to you if:
* You have proven experience in thermal systems development and HVAC applications, ideally within automotive or off-highway sectors.
* You have hands-on knowledge of simulation tools, including 1D modelling, CFD, Altair software and Amesim.
* You can interpret test data and drive design improvements.
* You have excellent communication skills to influence and work effectively across teams.
* You take a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
