Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? We’re looking for a Children’s Worker to join our Care and Support team at our Derbyshire WISH Project, delivering high-quality services to tenants and their children aged 0–16.
You’ll plan and lead engaging activities, provide emotional and practical support, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment. This is a community-based role, so a full driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance is essential.
No two days will be the same, so if you like variety this may be the ideal role for you!
As a Children’s Worker:
* You will be responsible for organising, planning, and supervising a range of engaging activities for children aged 0–16, while providing both practical and emotional support to them and their parents.
* You’ll support families by offering practical help and emotional guidance, and you’ll create and review individual support plans tailored to each child’s needs.
* You’ll work closely within the team to deliver a high-quality service, keep accurate records, and make sure the environment is safe for everyone.
* You’ll also carry out risk assessments for activities and attend safeguarding meetings when needed.

What We’re Looking For
* Level 3 NVQ in Childcare/Play, NNEB or equivalent (or working towards).
* Experience in childcare or play work.
* Knowledge of child protection legislation and procedures.
* Understanding of diverse backgrounds and a commitment to NCHA’s CLEAR values.
* Full UK driving licence.
