Teacher of Mathematics
A secondary school in Taunton is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis, starting April 2026.
This is a great opportunity for a motivated teacher who is passionate about mathematics and dedicated to helping students build confidence, develop problem-solving skills and achieve strong academic outcomes.
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 (M1–UPS3)
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience beneficial)
* Plan and deliver lessons that challenge and support students of all abilities
* Monitor student progress and use assessment data to inform teaching
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the success of the maths department and wider school
About You
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
* Have experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
* Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
* Be able to adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners, including those requiring additional support and high-attaining students
* Be a proactive and supportive member of staff who contributes positively to school life
