Your Role
The IT Performance (ITP) team is part of Business Technology practice. We need an experienced IT M&A Senior Manager to develop our M&A offer, support market units with proposals, and lead post‑merger integration strategies.
Responsibilities
* Develop IT M&A capability within the ITP team, support market unit teams, and build winning proposals.
* Drive complex technology assessments of IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, cyber‑security posture, cloud environments, and digital platforms.
* Lead and deliver post‑merger integration strategies: harmonise IT operating models, consolidate ERP and core systems, plan cloud migrations, design digital transformation roadmaps.
* Lead tech carve‑out and separation planning, define transitional service agreements, orchestrate data migration, ensure compliance and continuity during divestitures.
* Provide leadership on emerging tech (AI, advanced analytics, cyber‑security, cloud‑native) and evaluate alignment with client strategy.
* Translate technical findings into actionable commercial insights, quantify costs and risks, support negotiation strategies to maximize deal value and minimize risk.
Role Activities
* Business Development – proposals, RFPs, bids, pitch contributions, client hosting.
* Internal Contribution – campaign development, think‑tanks, whitepapers, practice development.
* Learning & Development – training and certifications.
Your Profile
* Evidence of leading IT M&A engagements with positive outcomes.
* Specialism in IT due diligence, integration and separation planning, technology assessments for high‑value transactions.
* Deep technical and strategic expertise: enterprise IT architecture, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), cyber‑security frameworks, ERP (SAP, Oracle), emerging tech.
* Experience managing teams and building relationships with senior client stakeholders.
* Ability to quantify and optimise technology‑related deal value through cost modelling, synergy identification, risk mitigation.
Desirable Experience
* Current or former consulting firm or industry consulting background.
* Proven success in a matrixed organisation, supporting consulting solutions.
* Proposition building and delivery experience.
* Experience generating ~£1m in consulting revenues.
