Our client, a well-established manufacturing company based in the Bolton area, is looking for a hands-on, highly competent Purchase Ledger Manager to take full ownership of their purchase ledger function. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, forward-thinking business where your contribution will be valued and your initiative encouraged. 🔧 The Role: As the Purchase Ledger Manager, you will manage the end-to-end purchase ledger process, building solid relationships with suppliers and ensuring smooth financial operations. Key responsibilities include: Full ownership of the purchase ledger function Processing 40-50 invoices per day (low volume, high value) Negotiating terms and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers Ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, approvals, and payments Handling supplier queries and resolving discrepancies Working closely with the wider finance team to support month-end close 💼 What We're Looking For: Proven experience in a Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable role Commercially aware with confidence to discuss terms with suppliers Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive improvements Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and communication skills Experience within a manufacturing or similar environment would be advantageous ⏰ Working Hours & Benefits: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm (1-hour lunch) ...
