Post No. EDSCH00012.5 - Family Engagement Officer/Teaching Assistant - L3 - Alway Primary 32.5hrs per week, 39 weeks per year (term-time plus Training Days) 8.30am - 3.30pm The Governing Body, staff, and pupils seek to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic, committed family engagement officer who can support our families and pupils. They will support the school's vision to 'Always Be Proud', to Aspire, Believe and Achieve. Our core values include: • Respect: Respect ourselves, each other, and the world around us. • Care: Provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive community where everyone is valued. • Well-being: Actively encourage and promote health and well-being The successful candidate will: • Effectively engage and work closely with families, staff, pupils and the wider community to motivate pupils to reach their full potential. • Have the ability to work as part of a team and have close liaison between the senior leadership team, teaching staff and parents. • Nurture pupils to reach their full potential, supporting the well-being of pupils and their families • Be enthusiastic, self-motivated and resilient • Be responsible for working with families and pupils with the aim of improving attendance across the school. • Be able to work alongside outside agencies and the local community supporting families and pupils. • Be responsible for organising parent engagement events. • Have excellent communication, organisational and record keeping skills. • Be reliable and able to take responsibility.
