Pharmacy Technician / Clean Room Supervisor – Technical Services

Job Summary
We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician or Science Manufacturing Technician to be part of our new aseptic unit. The role involves preparing and checking aseptic products, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with GMP and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Dispense and manufacture parenteral medication, including cytotoxic preparations and clinical trial material, using specialist skills and equipment.
* Issue and dispense final products, create advice notes, dispatch orders to wards and liaise with them as required.
* Supervise and train student technicians, pre‑registration pharmacists, rotational pharmacists, support workers and new staff in the aseptic unit.
* Complete and review worksheets and labels before preparation of intravenous doses, performing complex calculations and checking volumes.
* Work in a sterile clean‑room environment, carry out highly complex aseptic manipulations in accordance with SOPs and training programme.
* Maintain compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services/BTEC or Science Manufacturing Technician (SMT) or equivalent.
* Professional registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council, or relevant registration.
* Experience working in an NHS hospital pharmacy setting.
Desirable
* Experience working in an aseptic unit or GMP facility.
