Free Spirits is a busy 88–place Nursery catering for children 6 months to Pre‑School, located within the grounds of The Freeman Hospital. We now have a vacancy for a full‑time member of staff to join our team.
Key Requirements
* Passionate and energetic with a strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and child development.
* Enthusiastic about working with children and supporting their learning and development.
* Able to take initiative, research and keep knowledge up to date.
* Experience planning varied, stimulating activities that challenge children’s learning and development.
* Experience working with babies desirable.
* Minimum NVQ Level 3 in childcare or an equivalent qualification.
Responsibilities
* Care for and supervise children aged 0‑5 years under the direction of the Lead Early Years Practitioner and Senior Staff/Nursery Managers.
* Implement a structured and stimulating environment through play, meeting OFSTED requirements.
* Supervise and assist students during placement.
* Settle new children, working closely with parents/carers.
