We are seeking a talented and driven lawyer to join a thriving Insurance team in Bristol. You will play a key role in advising and representing a broad range of professionals and insurers on complex indemnity claims, with a particular focus on solicitors, brokers, insurers and other finance professionals.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of professional indemnity claims.
* Act on behalf of insurers and insured professionals in defending claims.
* Draft pleadings, witness statements, and settlement documentation.
* Conduct negotiations and attend mediations and settlement meetings.
* Liaise with clients, experts, and counsel, ensuring the highest level of client service.
* Provide risk management and coverage advice where required.
* Contribute to business development initiatives and client relationship management.
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 1+ PQE in professional indemnity or related litigation areas.
* Solid experience acting for insurers and/or professionals.
* Strong knowledge of relevant legal principles including negligence, breach of contract, and regulatory frameworks.
* Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
* Commercial awareness and the ability to provide pragmatic advice.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
* A proactive, team-oriented approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Experience in defending claims against solicitors, finance professionals, or brokers.
* Familiarity with coverage issues and insurance policy interpretation.
* A track record of working within a panel firm environment or for major insurers.
