About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of English to join a collaborative and forward-thinking secondary schools in Walsall. This is an excellent opportunity for an English Teacher looking for either short-term or long-term placements within a school that values innovation, high standards, and student achievement.
As an English Teacher you will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons, helping students build strong literacy skills, achieve academic success, and develop a love of learning. You will be part of a supportive team, working closely with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a positive and dynamic learning environment.
This role is ideal for an enthusiastic Teacher of English who is committed to raising student outcomes, supporting wellbeing, and contributing to the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons as an English Teacher across the secondary curriculum
* Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback to support student progress
* Maintain excellent classroom management in line with school policies
* Promote positive behaviour and effective learning
* Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and school initiatives
* Support students’ academic progress, wellbeing, and personal development
* Collaborate with colleagues to drive high standards across the English department
Requirements – English Teacher
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
* Minimum 6 months UK teaching experience within a secondary school
* Ability to teach English across multiple Key Stages
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* Commitment to delivering high-quality lessons and improving student outcomes
* Flexible to work in short-term or long-term roles

* Two professional references covering a minimum of two years
