Workshop Engineer – Buckinghamshire | Crane OEM
We are recruiting a Workshop Engineer to join a leading Crane OEM at their Buckinghamshire facility. This is a workshop-based position focused on the maintenance, repair and preparation of crane equipment, offering stable hours, strong earning potential and long-term development with a manufacturer that invests properly in its engineering teams. This role is well suited to engineers from cranes, heavy plant, HGVs, access equipment or agricultural machinery backgrounds who enjoy hands-on engineering in a workshop environment.
Responsibilities
* Maintenance, repair and overhaul of crane components and assemblies
* Fault finding on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
* Supporting pre-delivery inspections and refurbishment work
* Working to OEM standards and procedures
* Completing job documentation accurately
Location & Hours
* Based at the Buckinghamshire workshop
* Workshop-based role with minimal travel
* 37.5 hour working week

What We're Looking For
* Background in cranes, heavy plant, HGVs, access equipment, agricultural or similar heavy machinery
* Solid mechanical, electrical and hydraulic experience
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Plant, Heavy Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical disciplines
* Ability to work to high standards in a workshop setting
* Previous crane experience is beneficial but not essential. Engineers with strong transferable skills and a good attitude to learning are actively encouraged to apply
