Academic Corporate and Commercial Events (ACCE) Dept. is seeking a Senior Administrator to support the exams, awards and graduation functions.
About the role
Working alongside a colleague in the same role, a key responsibility is to use previous course‑by‑course attendance data to project and model future graduation attendance. Then, using this information, create the optimum graduation timetable. This is designed to maximise student and guest attendance, whilst being as sympathetic as possible to school and programme structures.
To achieve this, you will:
* Need to have expertise in Excel and have advanced analytical skills
* Manage graduation ticket sales, so will need to become a confident user of the online ticketing system
* Play a key role communicating graduation arrangements to students and staff; responding to their queries
Other tasks include but are not limited to:
* Producing award certificates
* Confirming graduates qualifications with employers
* Processing exam papers
* Helping manage exams
* Administrating invigilator pay claims; on‑day support at graduation
For this role, you will need to be on site 2 days a week. Whilst the team operate a hybrid working approach – which allows for some working from home most weeks – there will be some periods, e.g. when exams are occurring, when full office attendance is required by everyone. At times, some working outside of normal hours may be required. Strong team working is essential. The role does not line‑manage others.
