Warehouse Operative
Our client is seeking a very dedicated efficient Warehouse Operative to join their dynamic team and ever changing company. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of their warehouse by performing various tasks related to the handling of goods. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring safe handling practices are followed.
2. Accurately pick and pack orders according to specifications, maintaining high levels of accuracy.
3. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety regulations (in house only).
4. Maintain an organised stock area, ensuring that items are stored correctly and easily accessible.
5. Utilise a Warehouse Management System for tracking inventory levels and managing stock movements.
6. Assist with shipping and receiving activities, verifying the accuracy of shipments against documentation.
7. Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are maintained and discrepancies are reported promptly.
8. Occasionally required to deliver stock and inventory to teams over the UK.
Qualifications:
9. Previous experience in a warehouse setting is required.
10. Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
11. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) safely and effectively.
12. Familiarity with picking and packing processes is beneficial.
13. Experience operating forklifts or similar machinery is desirable; relevant certifications are a plus.
14. Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a must.
15. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
16. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
