We have a permanent job opening for a Test Solutions Engineer position in Severn Beach, Bristol, that might be the perfect fit for you. As a Test Solutions Engineer, you'll be a key player in our engineering team, providing practical, hands-on experience while examining new modules. Your exceptional skills will be put to use as you lead the definition of test equipment and procedures for both integrated machinery and upstream testing for module outsourcing. Key Responsibilities:

1. Train and certify Test Engineers in the correct use of test documents, procedures and equipment.
2. Support our test document author for content and expertise by defining, implementing, and maintaining test schedules and methods.
3. Produce and end-to-end manufacture simple control systems (including software) for ATE equipment.
4. Manage design, commissioning & maintenance of ATE (automatic test equipment), ensuring compatibility with legacy products where practical.
5. Produce schematics, assembly drawings & BOMS for test equipment and manage release via PLM system.
6. Analyse failure reports from the field and final test and modify test points in order to avoid repeat occurrences.
7. Contribute to manufacturing plan and outsourcing strategy as part of the manufacturing engineering team.
8. Implement robust cost effective test solutions throughout the supply chain (tier 2 to Customer sign off) for existing and new products.
9. Practical testing of first article components, working with NPI teams and engineering to ensure critical product features requiring test are defined and accompanied with test specifications.
10. Undertake practical studies for OEM and module performance comparisons (for obsolescence, accelerated lifetime testing, etc).
11. Ensure all test manufacturing data is archived and kept up to date. Use this to inform our predictive diagnostics capabilities and products, tool to tool performance analysis and tool lifetime performance characteristics.

Education / Qualifications:

12. At least HNC or equivalent engineering or professional qualification.
13. Degree-level qualification preferred.

Professional Skills/ Abilities:

14. High frequency RF matching & signal processing up to 8KW.
15. High level of electronics knowledge.
16. Effective communication skills.
17. HNC in Electronics or higher.
18. Programming/software experience
19. CAD design - AutoCAD

20. Practical, comfortable with mechanical and electrical assembly.
21. Demonstrates enthusiasm and energy.
22. High degree of customer focus.
