Key Stage Teacher Supply are working in partnership with a specialist school in Skelmersdale who support Primary School Aged pupils with additional needs. The school are looking to recruit a Welfare Assistant to cover over the lunch period, from 11.30am-1.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Have you had experience of supporting children or young adults with additional needs? Are you looking to get your foot in the door of a Specialist School? Are you looking for work to fit around your own childcare?

Due to an increase in pupil numbers, the role is to start as soon as possible and they are keen to find somebody to support for the last term. It will be a long term role with the view to have the opportunity to apply to transfer over to a permanent contract or to transition into the classroom, for the right person.

The school is rated Outstanding by OFSTED and they have held this status for over the last 10 years! The school prides itself on striving to provide fantastic teaching and learning in an inclusive environment where all learners are cared for, valued and respected. They are a growing school providing personalised learning to meet individual need and are proud of the positive relationships they build with all their pupils and their families. You will need to have experience in supporting children or young adults with SEND. This could come from a wide range of backgrounds from own family members, sports coaching, social/residential care, mainstream or specialist schools.

The required experience for this role;

* Supporting children or young Adults with Additional Needs
* Passionate in supporting children of all levels and with all different needs
* Knowledge of working with children with SEND
* Relevant Teaching Assistant or Health & Social Care qualification is preferred, but not essential if you have relevant experience
