Intermediate Care Team
Substantive, Full Time 37 hours per week
Band 7 Salary Range £50,861 - £59,159 per annum plus
Distant Island Allowance £2,482 per annum, Relocation Assistance up to £8,000 available.
This is an exciting opportunity to provide an Occupational Therapy service in the unique environment of the Shetland Islands. The Intermediate Care Team delivers rehabilitation and reablement to residents aged 18 and over, predominantly older adults with complex conditions.
The post holder will work primarily within the community, in clients’ homes and in Local Authority‑provided care homes.
Shetland offers low pollution, low crime, excellent schools, great leisure facilities, unique wildlife and amazing scenery, whilst still only a short flight away from the UK mainland.
Responsibilities
* Provide Occupational Therapy services to community-based clients.
* Exercise managerial responsibility within the team.
* Assess and develop graded rehabilitation programmes for clients in a variety of settings.
Qualifications
* HCPC registered.
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy.
* Minimum 3 years clinical experience with a highly developed understanding of Occupational Therapy.
* Experience assessing and developing graded rehabilitation programmes for clients.
Additional Requirements
* Preferred candidates must join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to formal offer of employment.
