We’re working with a welcoming school in Romford that’s on the lookout for a full-time Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs. You’ll be working closely with children who need a bit of extra guidance, patience, and encouragement to help them thrive in the classroom.
No two days are the same, but one thing’s certain, you’ll be making a real difference.
What you’ll be doing
* Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
* Helping children stay engaged, focused, and confident in their learning
* Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
* Creating a calm, structured, and supportive environment
What we’re looking for
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, or similar)
* A calm, patient, and positive approach
* Someone who builds trust easily and brings a steady presence to the classroom
* Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset
* A genuine passion for supporting young people
Bonus points if you have:
* Experience with autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs
* Any relevant qualifications in education or care
