An exciting opportunity has arisen in Leicestershire (County) to join our Healthy Together Team as a Health Visitor. The vacancy is based in North Charnwood and covers the Loughborough and Shepshed localities and surrounding villages. We are seeking highly motivated, dynamic and qualified Health Visitors to help deliver the Healthy Child Programme and our ambitious vision.
Responsibilities
* Deliver evidence‑based healthcare, maintaining a high standard of professional practice.
* Lead and deliver the Healthy Child Programme within a multi‑agency team setting.
* Identify, assess and manage the health care needs of individuals, families, groups and communities, and develop, implement and evaluate care programmes for targeted groups.
* Provide delegated management responsibility to Healthy Child Programme Practitioners and Nurses.
* Mentor pre‑ and post‑registration students and new staff, and support induction programmes.
Qualifications
* Current NMC registration in any branch of nursing.
* Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) Health Visitor registration.
* Full driving licence and availability to use a car for the role (monitored by LPT’s car schemes).
* Evidence of SCPHN qualification in your application.

Permissions to work in the UK are required. The cost of any DBS disclosure will be met by the individual and deducted from salary once started.
