About the Role G&P Quality Management is seeking a high-calibre Operations Transformation Manager to lead a major volume ramp-up for a leading Automotive OEM. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for ensuring operational, supply chain, and support functions are fully aligned, capable, and ready to meet increased demand. You will work across all departments to strengthen capacity, streamline processes, and drive organisational readiness. Job Title: Operations Transformation Manager ? Key Responsibilities Lead the company-wide volume readiness programme, assessing performance, identifying bottlenecks, labour gaps, equipment needs, and process inefficiencies. Develop and implement the complete ramp-up plan, covering headcount modelling, shift pattern changes, supplier readiness, training, layout adjustments, and material flow improvements. Drive structured problem solving and issue resolution, escalating risks to delivery, quality, cost, and safety while maintaining stable ramp-up performance. Optimise production and operational performance, supporting line balancing, labour utilisation, takt alignment, and operational standards while monitoring supplier capability. Provide clear, data-driven leadership updates, maintain disciplined change management, and ensure cross-functional collaboration, accurate documentation, updated standard work, and effective communication. Candidate Profile Experienced operations or manufacturing leader with a proven background in volume ramp-ups, operational scaling, and transformation programmes across fabrication, assembly, or industrial manufacturing environments. Strong end-to-end operational knowledge across production, maintenance, supply chain, quality, HR, and continuous improvement. Highly skilled in structured problem solving techniques, including 8D, A3, DMAIC, Five Whys, value stream mapping, and bottleneck analysis. Influential and collaborative communicator, able to align stakeholders, simplify complex issues, and maintain momentum across cross-functional teams. Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint), experienced in producing dashboards, trackers, and leadership reporting. Fabrication manufacturing or low-volume assembly experience is advantageous.
