The Clavis Whisky Bar at Trump MacLeod House offers guests a relaxing, indulgent area to enjoy their favourite dram from our extensive selection of over 250 Scottish and International malt whiskies carefully selected from the world’s leading producers. Cocktails, fine wines and other drinks are also on offer for guests to enjoy. The word Clavis is an ancient word for ‘Key’ – and references the beautiful lockers that contain some of the most intriguing and special whiskies in our collection and are such a prominent feature of the whisky bar. The Clavis Bartender is responsible for providing a warm, friendly and efficient food, beverage service to our guests, ensuring exceptional service standards are delivered and maintained at all times, in line with guest expectations. This role requires a strong working knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with an emphasis on fine wines, single malt whiskies and classic cocktails. The role operates on a shift-based system including evening and weekend working in line with the seasonal needs of the business. Due to the location of the resort and working hours, it is essential that suitable candidates have their own transport. Contract: Full Time - Permanent Reports to: Trump’s Restaurant Manager Key Duties & Responsibilities: ¨ Support the day to day running of the Clavis Bar and Trump’s Restaurant ¨ Opening and closing procedures ¨ Ensure that all guests’ requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively, ensuring exceptional service is delivered to guests at all times ¨ Tailor beverage recommendations in line with guest preferences ¨ Deal with any guest complaints in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times, escalating to management where required. ¨ Ensure all cash, charge, float and till operations are carried out in line with agreed procedures ¨ Drinks training and on-the-floor development of service staff ¨ Cellar management ¨ Support and assist with beverage stock ¨ Development of whisky, wine, beverage and cocktail menus ¨ Any other duties as directed by the management team Qualifying Criteria: ¨ Experience of working in a similar role and/or environment (preferably in a high end restaurant or hotel) ¨ Personal Licence Holder - Essential ¨ Certified Mixologist advantageous ¨ WSET Level 2 advantageous ¨ Valid Uk Driving Licence and transport is essential ¨ High standard of personal presentation ¨ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a confident and outgoing personality and an ability to interact with people at all levels ¨ Passion for delivering exceptional guest service ¨ Courteous and pleasant attitude towards guests and colleagues ¨ Ability to work as part of a team ¨ Good attention to detail Salary & Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package.
