Job Duties:
* Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in their learning and development
* Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons
* Providing one-to-one support to students as needed
* Helping students with personal care tasks if required
* Assisting with the management of classroom behaviour
* Supporting students in accessing the curriculum and educational resources
Required Qualifications:
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* Experience working with students with SEN
* Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
* Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting
* Knowledge of different SEN conditions and strategies to support them
* Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
Preferred Qualifications:
* First Aid certification
* Training in manual handling and personal care tasks
* Additional courses in SEN education or related fields
Working Conditions:
* Working hours may vary, including some evenings and weekends for school events
* Regular interaction with students, teachers, and parents
* Potential exposure to challenging behaviours or emotional situations
* Physical tasks such as assisting with mobility and personal care

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
