Are you a passionate and motivated Podiatrist looking to develop your career in a supportive and forward-thinking team? We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Band 6 Specialist Podiatrist to join our recently integrated Community Podiatry and Diabetes Care For You (DCFY) Podiatry service supporting communities across Brighton & Hove and East Sussex. The post will be primarily based in Brighton, with the requirement to travel to satellite clinics across Brighton & Hove and East Sussex. A full driving license and access to a suitable vehicle is a key requirement for this role.
What We’re Looking For
* HCPC-registered Podiatrist.
* Demonstrable post-registration experience in a range of clinical areas, including high-risk foot care.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Ability to manage a varied caseload and work flexibly across different clinical environments.
As a Specialist Podiatrist, You Will
* Deliver high-quality podiatric care to a diverse caseload, including patients with diabetes, chronic neuropathy, vascular conditions, and basic wound care needs.
* Work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team across a variety of settings including community clinics, patients’ homes, residential homes, and hospital clinics.
* Undertake domiciliary visits for housebound patients (non-complex cases).
* Develop and implement individualised care plans under the guidance of Specialist Lead Podiatrists.
* Participate in service development initiatives and clinical supervision.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure equipment and stock are managed in line with departmental protocols.
