Income Officer Location - Eastleigh Temporary for 3 months through the agency and then to be extended as a fixed-term contract Hourly rate - £18.63 per hour - £24.34 per hour - depending on preferred payment type Hybrid working available Sellick Partnership Ltd are assisting a well-established housing association with the recruitment of an Income Officer to scrutinise service charge estimates and actuals, liaising with the finance and leasehold officers to deliver accurate rechargeable charges for the business. Job purpose of the Income Officer Ensure that income recovery for the patch meets agreed standards/targets, including collection of arrears, service charges and major work recharges. Issue recharge invoices for leasehold, market rent and commercial accounts. Scrutinise statutory section 20 consultation to ensure consultation complies with statutory regulations and allows for maximum income collection. Review service charges within schemes or blocks where an external management company is in place, ensuring the eligible charges are passed on to residents. Achieve individual financial and performance targets and prepare statistical information for the line manager as required. Keep customer records up to date, ensure that rent debits and credits held on the system are correct including liaison with the finance department to rectify errors, trace mis-posted monies including payments held in suspense. Where the lease prescribes, monitor sinking fund collection and expenditure in relation to asset management programmes.Knowledge, skills and experience required: Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Common hold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002 and Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 in relation to residential and commercial leaseholders. CIH or RPM qualified or committed to completing the qualification.
