We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader to join the Safeguarding Team in Richmond with Achieving for Children. As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in managing a team responsible for Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), Public Law Outline (PLO), and Care Proceedings until the final order. Achieving for Children is a social enterprise providing services for children and families across Richmond and Kingston. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, ensuring they have the best start in life.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Direct line management of 4-5 Social Workers.
2. Oversee and manage caseloads within the team, ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding practice.
3. Provide supervision, support, and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous professional development.
4. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and departmental policies and procedures.
5. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary professionals and agencies to safeguard children and promote their welfare.
6. Report directly to the Head of Service, providing regular updates on team performance, caseloads, and any emerging issues.
Requirements:
7. Social Work qualification and registration
8. Recent experience within a Safeguarding Team is essential
9. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child safeguarding.
10. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
11. Must be office-based a minimum of 3 days a week, considering the journey to the Twickenham office.
