Who are we?
Estelle Manor is a rural retreat set on an 85-acre estate in Oxfordshire. The manor has four restaurants, an extraordinary 3,000 sq metre Roman-inspired spa- Eynsham Baths, 108 bedrooms and a gym with class studios and padel courts. Plus, there's a kids' club for the little ones and a workspace. As the countryside companion to Maison Estelle, the manor is also a 'hosted home', bringing people together that have plenty to say and nothing to prove.
We are looking for an Assistant Head Sommelier to join Matteo Montone (MS) and his team.
The on target earning potential for this role is £48,000 per annum per annum based on a 40 hour contract - comprising a base salary of £33,150.00, plus a qualified estimate of £15,000 in gratuities and service charge*. Please note this is a projected salary and OTE.
Our Sommelier team, headed up by Matteo Montone (MS), will provide exceptional wine knowledge alongside attentive and personalised wine recommendations. Duties include taking wine orders, sharing knowledge and suggesting wines for our members based on their personal tastes to create a bespoke and exclusive experience for every guest at Estelle Manor and will provide a luxury beverage service to the highest standard.

* Experience in Wine service within a luxury hotel or premium brand.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to get on with a diverse range of people – you can quickly understand, influence and negotiate, as well as document and explain complex requirements to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
* Ability to perform under pressure and deliver results to deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills and comfortable talking to colleagues, senior management and being front of house building relationships with our members and guests.
* Excellent interpersonal, time management and organisational skills.
* Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experience with keen attention to detail.
* A genuine passion for hospitality and hosting.

About gratuities service charge:
* Gratuities (tips) are paid on a pro-rata basis regardless of your role.
