We currently have a vacancy for a QSHE Specialist based at our Weetabix site in Burton Latimer and Corby. The main purpose of the role is to support the site Quality, Health Safety and Environment strategy aligned to our customer Weetabix.
This site operates on a 24/7, basis with varying shift start times, therefore a flexible approach to working hours is essential in order to ensure that all shifts are fully engaged in the site Health and Safety, Quality / Food Safety culture

We're looking to offer an annual salary up to £42,000 per annum, dependent upon experience. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:
* Collate weekly / monthly reports, presenting a monthly slide deck internally and externally to the customer.
* Provide regular management information/KPI's to fully track the progress and effectiveness of the Health and safety / Quality management reporting
* Management and preparation of on site SSOW's and risk assessments.
* Carry out trend analysis and route cause on accident / complaint data
* Update and manage EHS & ESG management software
* Proven experience of providing support and advice to management and wider team
* Identify and resolve issues, implementing corrective actions, and managing a corrective action plan
* To ensure all staff follow Safe Working Practices and Health and Safety.
* To ensure you lead by example for adherence to the XPO Code of Conduct and rules and Procedures

- To carry out other duties as directed by your line manager
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong data-driven approach, including the ability to present findings visually to support effective decision-making.
* Communicate XPO Logistics QHSE policy and strategy and to raise awareness of QHSE legislation/issues by periodic attendance on site QHSE forums
* Manage all prework required for internal and external H&S Audits plus coordinating with auditor and identifying a subsequent action plan
* Keep upto date with Health and Safety, Food Safety / Quality legislation and developments ensuring compliance to site policies.
* Deputise and Cover for the H&S Manager or Food Safety Manager when not around.
* Attend meetings / training courses held off site as required
* Support and cover multi sites as part of the role.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
* Previous experience in Quality control or Quality assurance
* IOSH minimum but NEBOSH certification or working towards, ideally with exam booked
* Certification in food safety (e.g. HACCP) would be advantageous
* Experience with audits, ideally BRCGS or similar
* Internal Auditing qualification would be advantageous.
* Operational / Managerial experience in Logistics / Food / Transport environment
* Experience of working in a large, busy operation ideally within a logistics environment
* Excellent communication and coaching skills
* A tenacious multi-tasker with the ability to work under pressure and to deliver against tight deadlines
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams.
* Ability to work quickly and effectively to deliver Health and Safety improvements
* Self -motivated, starter-finisher, with ability to prioritise work loads
* Ability to work under own initiative
